From electric trucks and vans to alternative fuels like HVO and GTL, there are plenty of options for commercial vehicle operators to go green.
DAF Trucks
The entire range of DAF trucks is certified for use with HVO and GTL fuels. DAF is also making headways with hydrogen, developing the award-winning DAF XF H2 Innovation Truck which features an Internal Combustion Engine running on hydrogen fuel. The DAF LF Electric and DAF CF Electric are currently available in the UK, enabling operators to continue to make deliveries in inner-city areas where emissions restrictions are in place. The ultra-manoeuvrable DAF LF Electric has a range of up to 174 miles, and the ever-versatile DAF CF Electric has a range of up to 155 miles.Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
Electric VW vans are now available to buy with the ABT e-Transport 6.1 boasting an 82-mile range, a 6.7m3 load volume, and a 996kg payload. VW also recently unveiled the ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz cargo which are setting new benchmarks in personal and business mobility.Ford Commercial Vehicles
Ford has a range of all-electric, plug-in hybrid, and mild hybrid Ford Transit and Ford Tourneo vans. The Ford Transit van, the ‘Ford e-Transit’, has an impressive range of up to 196 miles* on a single charge with 15.1 m3 of cargo space. Ford has also joined a petition to ensure that all new cars and vans in Europe are zero-emission from 2035.Fiat Professional
There are two electric Fiat Professional vans currently available: the Fiat e-Scudo and the Fiat e-Ducato. The e-Scudo has a driving range of up to 205 miles, up to 6.6 m3 load capacity, and up to 1400 kg payload. Whilst the larger e-Ducato has a range of up to 223 miles, up to 17 m3 of load volume, and up to 1950 kg payload.MAXUS
Currently available from MAXUS is the MAXUS eDeliver 3 electric van, with up to 213-mile range and 945kg payload, and the MAXUS eDeliver 9 with up to 219-mile range and up to 1290kg payload.
