DAF Trucks is celebrating another notable milestone after its New Generation DAF XF tractor unit range was named Fleet Truck of the Year at the prestigious Motor Transport Awards 2025, held in London. The award was heavily influenced by the DAF XF’s outstanding fuel efficiency, with one judging-operator noting a 7–8% higher fuel efficiency over competitors. DAF’s latest Model Year 25 vehicles feature optimised drivelines, aerodynamic refinements and advanced driver assistance systems, contributing to industry-leading quality and efficiency. The Fleet Truck of the Year judging panel, which is made up of fleet operators, praised the DAF XF for its exceptional real-world performance and operator appeal. The panel cited the XF’s excellent visibility, comfortable cab and solid build quality – all of which make it a standout choice for fleets nationwide. “There’s a reason it’s the backbone of so many fleets,” commented one judge. “It’s consistent, it’s practical and dependable, and the drivers actually want to be on them.” Another judge also commented, “It’s doing 10.8mpg in real-world conditions. For a big fleet truck, that’s excellent.” In terms of aftersales support, the DAF Dealer network also drew particular praise, and especially the company’s DAFaid roadside assistance service which continues to deliver outstanding levels of uptime for customers. “DAFaid is one of the best in the business,” remarked one of the judges, “It gives operators peace-of-mind that if something does go wrong, they’ll be back on the road quickly.” The event, attended by industry leaders and fleet operators from across the UK, saw the New Generation DAF XF confirm its position as fleet operators’ top choice. The success also comes as DAF Trucks marks 30 years of market leadership, with the popularity of the DAF range in fleets undoubtedly a large factor in this success. “We’re absolutely delighted to again claim the Fleet Truck of the Year title with our New Generation XF,” said Bart Bosmans, member of the DAF Board of Management and responsible for Marketing & Sales. “Recognition for the XF’s fuel efficiency, driver appeal and our customer support services reinforces everything we’ve built into this truck – it’s designed in collaboration with operators, for operators, and this important Fleet Truck of the Year Award fully supports that approach.”

We are proud to announce the grand opening of our new office block at Motus Commercials Barnsley, Accident and Repair Centre. We hosted an open day in glorious sunshine on 20th June 2025. We invited a host of customers and colleagues to attend, with live demos, tours and a chance to meet the Accident/Repair team. A BBQ was started at 12 PM and Rob Mackenzie (Regional Director) gave a speech about the new office block and thanked the hard working team at the Accident Repair Centre. Rob alonside Andy Douglas (Bodyshop Manager) then proceeded to cut the ribbon to mark the offical opening of the new building.
