Daniel Fitzjohn appointed Managing Director of Motus Commercials

Daniel Fitzjohn appointed Managing Director of Motus Commercials

We’re delighted to announce that Daniel Fitzjohn has taken on the role of Managing Director of Motus Commercials, effective 1 August 2026.

Daniel brings extensive experience within the business to his new role, having joined Motus Commercials in 2018 as Regional Director for the South West. Since then, he has held a number of senior leadership positions across the business, most recently serving as Commercial Director.

As Managing Director, Daniel will lead Motus Commercials as we continue to grow our business, strengthen our customer offering and support our people across our network.

Speaking about his appointment, Daniel said:

“I have some very big shoes to fill and am delighted to be given this huge opportunity. With a terrific team already in place, I’ll be looking to continue improving our offering and driving growth across the business.
“We work with an outstanding truck manufacturer in DAF and our goals are very much aligned with theirs. As DAF’s biggest dealer group, we won’t be standing still and will continue our growth journey.”
Daniel succeeds Matt Lawrenson, who has moved into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Motus Group (UK) Limited.

“I am confident Daniel will continue to grow Motus Commercials, support the development of our outstanding colleagues and keep customer service excellence as our top priority.”
Daniel’s appointment marks the next chapter for Motus Commercials as we continue to build on our strong relationship with DAF and our commitment to delivering an excellent experience for our customers.

We’d like to congratulate Daniel on his new role and wish him every success as he leads the Motus Commercials team into the next stage of our journey.
