DAF dealer Motus Commercials opens new site in Avonmouth

Motus Commercials, the largest DAF dealer group in Europe, has opened a new 5.2 acre site in Avonmouth, on the outskirts of Bristol.

The new site which replaces the existing site at Days Rd, Bristol is significantly bigger and will feature a 515m2 parts hub, a total of 22 workbays including drive through ATF and ADR bays as well a PDI centre for new and used vehicles.

Motus Commercials, the largest DAF dealer group in Europe, has opened a new 5.2 acre site in Avonmouth, on the outskirts of Bristol.

The new site which replaces the existing site at Days Rd, Bristol is significantly bigger and will feature a 515m2 parts hub, a total of 22 workbays including drive through ATF and ADR bays as well a PDI centre for new and used vehicles.

The Avonmouth site will also host a significant spare parts offering through the all makes TRP truck, trailer and van range with a leading parts delivery service from the Avonmouth hub into the area.

The new site will replace Motus Commercials’ current Bristol location and Daniel Fitzjohn, Regional Director for the South Western and West Midlands Regions, explained the reasons for the relocation: “Through the success of the DAF brand and of that of our staff, we had outgrown our current location and it was time for a move. The new site is strategically located in Avonmouth’s industrial zone and just a few miles from major motorway links of the M5, M4 and M48 adjacent to the Severn crossing.”

Daniel Fitzjohn continued, “We understand the importance of location and service level for truck operators and this new site will allow us to do exactly that with the space and extended opening hours the depot will offer. To further support our customers, we have decided to extend our opening times even further with the depot open for service from 06:00 Monday and work continuously through to Saturday evening at 18:00, ensuring we can meet the demands of every commercial vehicle operator.”

The new Avonmouth site opening coincides with the launch of the new generation of DAF XF, XG and XG+ which were launched on June 9th 2021. With this entirely new line up of trucks, DAF offers the highest quality, 10% improved fuel efficiency, a full suite of passive and active safety features and the next level of luxury in truck design. The New Generation DAF begins production in October.

Motus Commercials Avonmouth is located on Severn Road, Avonmouth, Bristol, BS11 0YL.

The new site is fully operational from 14th June 2021 and will be hosting a customer open day on 21st July 2021 where invited visitors can see the site.
