B.H. Cecil and Sons, a haulage company based in Gloucestershire, recently added two new trucks to their fleet: a DAF XF and a DAF XG+. Both vehicles, supplied by Motus Commercials Gloucester, have been aptly named 'Fisherman’s Friend'.
Paul Cecil, B.H Cecil and Sons Owner, wanted the new additions to the fleet to stay consistent with the other DAF vehicles and took inspiration for the artwork from the local fisheries based on the rivers Wye and Severn. The haulage company also wanted to pay homage to their long-term customer, Severn and Wye Smokery, reinforcing the community feel and their appreciation of small businesses.
The B.H Cecil team expertly handled all exterior fabrication in-house, achieving a timeless finish in both colour scheme and style. The cream leather seats, and corresponding interior were completed by Sjaak Kentie Truck Specialists and Holland Interior. The paintwork was carried out by Haydon Autospray in the nearby city of Bristol, reinforcing their support for local businesses. Additionally, the themed artwork, was done by the incredibly talented Adam Haydon.
BH Cecil and Sons have been purchasing DAF trucks for around 40 years and have always been extremely impressed with the product and service provided. The DAF XF has already hit the road and the XG+ will be joining the other ‘Fisherman’s Friend’ DAF in operation on May 1st.
