How high and wide is a Transit van?

Making its first impression on the world in 1965, the Ford Transit Van has become the third-highest selling van of all time, selling over 8 million vans in this time. There are currently 4 different variations in the Transit Commercial range; the Transit Courier, Transit Connect, Transit Custom, and the classic Transit Van, each varying in size depending on the needs of your business. (Measurements based on current 2016 models)

Transit Courier

The Transit Courier is the smallest of the range, making it highly manoeuvrable and it has one of the best turning circles in the class, perfect for negotiating narrow, busy streets and those tight parking spaces.

  • Roof Height: 1747 mm
  • Width with/without mirrors: 2060/1764 mm
  • Width with mirrors folded: 1976 mm

Transit Connect

The Transit Connect is the next size up in the range, coming with two wheelbase options (L1 = Short wheelbase, L2 = Long wheelbase), and advanced technologies to make the Connect a super-efficient Transit van.

  • Roof Height: 1861 mm
  • Width with/without mirrors: 2137/1835 mm

Transit Custom

The Transit Custom is the mid-sized model in the range and sets the bar for efficiency and loadspace, again offered in two wheelbase options (L1 = Short wheelbase, L2 = Long wheelbase) and also two different height options (H1 = Low roof, H2 = High Roof)

  • Width with/without mirrors: 2272/1986 mm
  • Width with mirrors folded: 2080 mm

Transit Van

The Transit Van is the biggest van in the Transit range, and is built for the toughest of jobs. The Transit is the standard bearer for performance, reliability and security, and is an icon in the Van and Commercial vehicle world. The Transit comes in three wheelbase options (L2 = Medium wheelbase, L3 = Long wheelbase, L4 = Extra Long wheelbase) and also two different height options (H2 = Standard roof, H3 = High Roof).

  • Roof Height (H2/H3): 2490/2781 mm
