Motus Commercials has won the Motor Transport ‘Apprenticeship of the Year’ Award 2022.
The Motus Commercials Apprenticeship Programme provides opportunities for HGV and LCV technicians, parts advisors, sales, admin, customer service and other career paths.
The company’s apprentices benefit from on-the-job learning, supported by a dedicated Mentor and Skills Coach, with efforts and achievements recognised in monthly and annual awards, all whilst earning a wage. Courses range from two to three years and are fully funded by Motus Commercials.
Along with the rest of the Motus Team, apprentices also have access to employee benefits that include, but are not limited to, a reduced-rate family and friends car scheme, discounts at large high street stores and full mental health support.
Matt Lawrenson (Managing Director), Emma Murdock (HR Director), and Sarah Bardens (People Partnership Manager) collected the award on behalf of the company, which had been shortlisted for the Apprenticeship of the Year award, alongside four other businesses.
Sarah Bardens, who oversees Motus Commercials apprenticeships, comments “We work really hard to give our apprentices a great experience, and being recognised with this award means so much to us at Motus Commercials. It’s not all down to me, it’s the whole team that’s made this happen and I’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone involved. Together We Make a Difference!”
Following a successful apprenticeship period, Motus Commercials offers further training and development opportunities with its People Partnership Programme, and champions lifelong learning and promotion from within.
