East Midlands-based Motus Commercials employees took part in Yellow Days, from 21st to 25th October 2019, to raise money for local charity Treetops Hospice Care, as part of their Go Yellow Month.
Treetops Hospice Care provides respite and end of life care for adults across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. All services are provided free of charge but the hospice needs over £4.3 million per year to run, 70% of which comes from charitable donations and fundraising events.
October was Go Yellow month for Treetops Hospice Care, where local communities and organisations were encouraged to fundraise for the cause. Motus Commercials dealerships local to the hospice, in Derby, Nottingham and Sutton-in-Ashfield, held dedicated ‘Yellow Days’ where employees were asked to wear yellow clothing to work and donate cakes to sell to help raise money for the cause.
Employees across all three sites showed great support for the event and raised a total of £256.91 for Treetops Hospice Care from donations throughout the week.
Keely Pearce, HR Advisor at Motus Commercials for the East and West Midlands, who organised the Yellow Days comments, “Thank you to everybody who took part in our Yellow Days, the support throughout the region has been fantastic. We’ve eaten so much cake though that I don’t think we’ll be touching any for a while!”
Motus Commercials will continue to support Treetops Hospice Care, as well as other charitable organisations close to our nationwide network of dealerships to support and give back to our local communities.
